政治与公共管理系下设3个专业：思想政治教育（师范类，本科），人力资源管理（非师范类，专科），社会工作（师范与非师范兼容，专科），设置思想政治教育、教学教法、人力资源管理、社会工作四个教学研究室。教职员工26人：其中教授5人，副教授5人；博士3人，在读博士2人，硕士13人。全日制在校生近500人。经过20多年的建设，初步形成了以法学为主干，政治学、社会学、管理学等多学科协调发展的办学体系。

    The department of political science consists of three specialties:

    Ideological and political Education Major (normal under graduate training)；Human Resource Management Major (non-normal training, college education)；social Work Major (normal or non-normal college education),corresponding with three research labs. There are 26 members of the faculty including 5 professors,5 associate professors,3doctors,2 PHD candidates and 13 masters. Totally, there are 500 full-time students in the department. After more than 20 years’ development,the key of school system, law is initially formed with the coordinated development of political science ,sociology, management and multidisciplinary.

    近年来，政治与公共管理系注重教学科研与社会发展、经济建设紧密结合，大力加强学科建设、专业建设和课程建设。有省级骨干教师1人，市级优秀教师2人，市级拔尖人才1人，市级跨世纪学术技术带头人2人，市级优秀中青年骨干教师2人，郑州市名师1人；校级专业带头人2人；省级优秀课程1门，校级精品课程1门；教师主持完成校级、省部级以上课题项目20余项，获得省部级成果奖10余项，发表学术论文200余篇，出版学术著作10余部。培训河南省中小学思想品德课教师5000人次。指导学生参加各类活动，荣获河南省师范教育专业毕业生教学技能大赛一等奖，郑州市大中专学生社会实践先进个人，学校教学技能大赛一等奖，大学生职业规划大赛一等奖，暑期社会实践优秀调查报告等多项荣誉。

    In recent years, the development trend of the department of politics science is to combine teaching and research with social development and economic construction, so as to enhance the constructing progress of disciplines, majors and courses in the department. There are 1 provincial key teacher, 2 municipal excellent teachers, 1 municipal top-notch talent, 2 municipal cross-century academic technology leaders, 2 municipal youth and middle-age key teachers, 1 Zhengzhou outstanding teacher, 2 professional leaders in Zhengzhou normal university in our department. Meanwhile, in the academic study field various achievements were reached, such as 1 provincial excellent course, 1 municipal quality course. Moreover, more than 20 project Research Works and 10 provincial achievement awards were received, and over 200 research papers and 10 academic monographs were published. The department also organizes the training progress of elementary and secondary school moral education teachers for about 5000 person/time. Under the instruction of teachers, several students took part in various kinds of social activities and competitions. In the meantime, they scooped the first prize of Henan normal education graduates teaching skills contest, the honor of municipal college students' social practice advanced individual, the first prize of university teaching skills contest, the first prize of career planning competition, excellent report of social practice in summer, etc.

    政治与公共管理系现有校内外实习基地、实践基地20余个。素质教育、理论学习、专业实习和社会实践等环节贯穿始终，不仅提高了学生专业技能，而且增强了社会适应能力和实践能力。

    Moreover, over 20 student practice bases are constructed in order to promote students abilities in the perspective of quality-oriented education, theoretical education and social practice.

    近年来，针对社会发展和市场需求变化，政治与公共管理系积极拓展多元化就业渠道，各专业就业率均在80%以上，专升本、考研、考取公务员、企事业单位招聘及教师应聘比例逐年提高，一批优秀毕业生已经成长为省内外企事业单位骨干和党政机关管理者。

    Based on recent years social reality and market requirements, diversifying opportunities of employment were explored and all major’s employment rates are all over 80%. The rate of getting bachelor degree, master degree, civil servant and teacher employment are gradually progressed year by year. Furthermore, plenty of excellent graduates have already become competent backbone talents or directors in their position
